Nicki Minaj gears up to make her acting debut in The Other Woman alongside ... - Daily Mail

She's taking cues from the Energizer bunny.

Just after she performed at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards - where she took home three awards herself including Top Streaming Artist, Top Rap Artist, and Top Rap Album for Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - Nicki Minaj got right back to work.

'2nd day of shooting #TheOtherWoman in NYC. Got a suprise for u tmrw,' the High School rapper tweeted on Tuesday.

Silver screen star: Nicki Minaj was seen on set of The Other Woman in New York City on Tuesday

Switching up her look, once again, the 30-year-old musician was seen with bangs and long, straight blonde locks as she strolled around set in New York City.

Minaj appeared to be between takes, leaving her trailer in a black bathrobe and fluffy slippers, before joining her boyfriend Safaree Samuels.

But she was most certainly camera-ready for her next scene, emphasising her eyes with long, false lashes and smokey eye shadow, as well as brightening her cheeks with a touch of mauve rouge.

Camera ready: The High School singer had on a full face of makeup, as her blonde locks were perfectly styled straight

Covered up: The rapper was wearing a long black robe and slippers as she left her trailer

Coordinating with the rest of her face, the musician accented her full lips with a violet liner and gloss.

Cameron Diaz, who plays one of the leads in the film, was also spotted gearing up on set.

Looking refreshed, the 40-year-old actress showed off her bronzed skin in a loose white T-shirt, teamed with denim trousers and a pair of slouchy ankle boots.

Boyfriend break: Minaj was spotted walking with her beau Safaree Samuels between scenes

Appearing more casual than Minaj, her blonde locks were pulled back away from her face, revealing a toned down make-up look without falsies or lipstick.

The Other Woman is a film directed by Nick Cassavetes, telling the story of a woman who realises she is not her boyfriend's primary lover.

After teaming up with his wife, the duo plot mutual revenge in the screen offering also starring Kate Upton.

A Small Lineup, With One Big Exception - New York Times

Seven years ago Chris Copeland was an N.B.A. Development League washout embarking on a pilgrimage through the European basketball leagues. Last fall, a hoops lifetime from when he took his game across the Atlantic, Copeland finally realized his dream of making an N.B.A. roster; his play in the preseason persuaded the Knicks to sign him. Then, 93 games into his first rookie season, Copeland, 29, notched one of the special achievements in the N.B.A.: a podium game.

After scoring 13 points, including three vital 3-pointers, against the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of their playoff series Thursday night, Copeland was chosen to represent his team and address reporters in the postgame news conference. He betrayed his unlikely rise when he forgot to speak into the microphone for the first couple of questions. His shy, wide grin said plenty. Not only had he made the N.B.A., but he was also making an important difference in his team's run through the playoffs.

'I'm extremely excited I could have some impact on the game,' said Copeland, who also showed off the pink backpack he carries around as part of his rookie initiation. 'I just hope I can do it again next game.'

Copeland played nearly 20 minutes and largely replaced Amar'e Stoudemire in the Knicks' rotation. An excellent 3-point shooter with enough size to battle in the paint, Copeland offers the Knicks' frontcourt another dimension and its offense more space. Though he has registered only one assist in the playoffs, he has aided his teammates by luring big Pacers defenders from the lane or by punishing them for leaving him open.

'I won't call it a mismatch, but I like to say I can help us by spreading the floor and bringing those guys away from the basket,' Copeland said.

'I'm just trying to make spacing better by being out there on the wing and getting Melo opportunities on the block and J. R. more space when he attacks,' he said, referring his to teammates Carmelo Anthony and J. R. Smith.

After attempts to match the Pacers' size with so-called big lineups proved disastrous, Knicks Coach Mike Woodson reverted to the player combinations that helped the Knicks secure the Eastern Conference's second seed. Asked before the game about emphasizing shooters and skill players over sheer size, Woodson said, 'That's been pretty good for us all season, so we're going back to it.'

In these configurations, Pacers forward David West is often the player forced to guard a smaller Knick.

'I don't think there was a moment when they were big,' West said after Game 5. 'They went to the lineups they've had success with all season.'

Though perhaps encouraged by desperation, the Knicks altered their lineup by choice. The Pacers, who still hold a series lead of three games to two, were not so lucky.

Pacers Coach Frank Vogel learned his team would be without its starting point guard, George Hill, a few hours before tipoff.

Speaking shortly thereafter, Vogel was upbeat. Hill's backup, D. J. Augustin, had played his best ball of the season in this series, and Vogel insisted that 'nothing would change' with Augustin running the point. This proved to be wishful thinking.

There was a reason beyond good health that the Pacers' starting five had played more minutes together than any lineup in the league save one. After the top five Pacers, there is a precipitous drop-off in talent.

The Pacers' bench scored the second fewest points a game of any team in the regular season. Without Hill, and with Roy Hibbert and Paul George in foul trouble, its ineptitude was on full display in Game 5.

During a particularly dreadful stretch near the start of the fourth quarter, the backup wing Gerald Green turned the ball over three times in three minutes, including two post entry passes that were intercepted.

Though their defense was solid, the short-handed Pacers bungled basic offensive plays. Of their 19 turnovers, a staggering number were the result of ghastly ball-handling or mental errors rather than some significant adjustment on the part of the Knicks.

Along with good fortune, the Knicks benefited from terrific rebounding from their wings. No matter how big the Knicks' lineups, they will always need brave and consistent effort from their wings to counter the Pacers' strength on the glass. Iman Shumpert, Smith, Raymond Felton and Copeland combined for 21 rebounds and helped prevent the merciless march of put-back buckets that has fueled the Pacers' offense.

Their rebounding success in Game 5 and in Game 2, when they also won playing smaller lineups, is likely to have an impact on Woodson's rotation. He has repeatedly declared rebounding to be one of his main concerns in the series.

The battle under the boards exemplifies how the Knicks must overcome the mountainous Pacers front line. They cannot survive head-on confrontations. The Knicks must swarm with speed and collective energy.

Whether Hill plays, the Pacers are unlikely to considerably alter their lineups or identity.

As West said: 'We got a certain attitude about ourselves in terms of how we compete and guys are willing to go play together defensively, which we have to do. We're going to stick with it.'

Five games into the series, the Knicks have also found, or rediscovered, something worth sticking with. They still face a difficult climb, but at least now they have the right equipment.

The Time Has Come For Chrome In The Home - TechCrunch

I've spent the last two weeks wandering around London, Paris, and Istanbul (not Constantinople.) As an experiment, I left my trusty MacBook Pro behind and brought only the $199 Chromebook on which I type this. And to my considerable surprise it has served admirably. So admirably, in fact, that I believe ChromeOS is only one or two iterations away from being the right choice for many-if not most'homes.

I was skeptical to begin with: after all, I thought, Chrome is acceptable when you're online, but I'll be spending much of my travel time offline, which probably makes it a non-starter, right? ' So I devoted most of my Chromebook's (bizarrely spacious) 320GB hard drive to an install of Ubuntu. Which I then never used even once.

I suppose I would have if some kind of critical work emergency had come up: after all, I'm (mostly) a software developer by trade, and ChromeOS isn't much of a developer platform. But that didn't happen. Good thing, too, because Linux-on-the-desktop seems as ugly and frustrating as ever for someone, even a deeply techie someone, who just wants to get things done.

ChromeOS, though, is both very pretty and almost painless. Its biggest problem is that out of the box it naively insists that you'll be online all the time'even though it can be perfectly serviceable while disconnected. You may not have known that nowadays both GMail and (most) Google Docs can work just fine offlne.

And if you didn't, well, Google sure isn't about to proactively tell you. You actually have to make a point of seeking out, installing, and then activating Offline Gmail and Offline Google Docs from the Chrome Web Store. Why ChromeOS doesn't prompt you with this option as part of the onboarding process is truly beyond me. Similarly, why on Earth are 'Gmail' and 'Offline Gmail' two separate apps? Google may be full of incredibly smart people, but they can also be insanely myopic when it comes to end users.

Once those were up and running, though, my Chromebook was a charm to use under almost all circumstances. Offline, I could write documents, check old email, and even play a few free games from the Chrome Web Store, although most Chrome games still seem to require an initial server connection to start up. And online, of course, the world was my oyster.

Did I have access to all the features of, say, Word or Excel? Hell, no. (You still can't create a Google Docs spreadsheet when offline, either.) Was it an all-guns-blazing gaming experience? Again, no, although Chrome's rapidly evolving Native Client ought to keep matters improving here. What I could do, though, was email, play a few games, surf the Net, communicate (via GChat or Google Hangouts, which worked excellently), and write documents ' which unless I'm much mistaken is pretty much everything that most people use their computers for at home.

ChromeOS still needs better, and simpler, offline support; and I'd like to see more diversity of available hardware; but once those two things are addressed, which shouldn't take long, I would happily recommend a Chromebook to my parents the next time they upgrade. In fact I'd happily recommend one to anyone who wants a small second laptop for travel, or who doesn't need to do serious work on their home computer.

Long ago Neal Stephenson, when comparing operating systems to vehicles, described MacOS as a hermetically sealed day-glo VW Beetle; MS Windows as a clunky two-tone station wagon; and Linux as the product of a horde of dreadlocked hippies who spent their time building M1 battle tanks and giving them away for free. Which sounds great at first, but who actually wants to drive a tank?

Well, if I may extend that a little, ChromeOS is like a sleek, shiny Airstream trailer built around that same M1 engine. There are many things it can't do, and a bunch more at which it's very clumsy, but within its bailiwick, casual exploring, it's both very attractive and awfully comfortable.

I don't think Stephenson's original analogies quite hold any more, though. Nowadays OS X is more like a Porsche'and Windows is a gas-guzzling pickup truck, or a cube van that makes disturbing noises whenever it corners. Still suitable for work, but not particularly great for either road trips or sub/urban living ' and nowadays looking nervously over its metaphorical shoulder at the flotilla of drones and self-driving cars on the horizon.

Bruins hold out hope for ailing defensemen - Boston Globe

The Bruins have not ruled Dennis Seidenberg, Andrew Ference, or Wade Redden out of Sunday's Game 2 against the New York Rangers. It's possible that with two days off between games, one or several of the veteran defensemen could return.

'A little early to say,' coach Claude Julien said. 'It is two days. And two days in the playoffs makes a big difference as far as getting guys back. There is a possibility. That much I can say.

'Whether it will or not, too early to say right now.'

Seidenberg went through an off-ice workout Friday and was not walking with any limitations. He was injured on his first shift of Game 7 against Toronto.

Neither Ference nor Redden was seen Friday.

The Bruins did not practice Friday. They will practice Saturday at TD Garden in preparation for Game 2.

Debbie Rowe says choreographer Wade Robson is 'a liar and opportunist' after ... - Daily Mail

  • Wade Robson, 30, has spoken out about the alleged abuse for the first time
  • Claims Jackson told him it was an 'expression of our love' and that he would go to jail forever if he told anyone
  • Claims he isn't speaking out for fame or fortune but having his own son two years ago made him face up to what allegedly happened
  • Jackson's estate have labelled the accusations 'outrageous and pathetic'

By Helen Pow

Debbie Rowe, the ex-wife and mother of two of Michael Jackson's children, has strongly criticized choreographer Wade Robson who claimed he was sexually abused by the singer.

In an interview with Today, Robson, 30, labelled Jackson 'a pedophile and a child sexual abuser' and said he chose to finally break his silence about the alleged molestation after having his own son two years ago.

An enraged Rowe, 54, called the choreographer 'opportunistic' and said he was seeking publicity.

Scroll down for video

Speaking out: Michael Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe (left) said Wade Robson was 'opportunistic' over he sexual abuse claims about the singer

She told TMZ on Thursday: 'It will be quickly forgotten, and will do nothing, nothing to tarnish Michael's extraordinary legacy.'

Robson claims the abuse at Jackson's hands lasted for seven years and that the King of Pop told him he'd go to jail for the rest of his life if he told anyone about it.

Robson claimed from the age of seven to around 14, Jackson 'performed sexual acts on me and forced me to perform sexual acts on him' and said during the first criminal investigation into the star in 1993, he would get daily calls to 'role-play' about what he told the then-11-year-old was 'an expression of love.'

Robson told Today Jackson convinced him that 'both of us would go to jail for the rest of our lives' if he told anyone about what they had done together.

The serious claims, which the Jackson's estate calls 'outrageous and pathetic,' are a change of tune for Robson who took the stand as the first defense witness at a trial in 2005, where Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old cancer survivor.

Wade Robson: Michael Jackson molested me for 7 years

Breaking his silence: Robson, right, told Matt Lauer, left, that he decided to break his silence about the alleged molestation after having his own son two years ago

Robson, now a top music choreographer who has worked with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, met Jackson when he five years old and the singer was in his late 20s or early 30s.

The pair bonded over a love of music and he repeatedly slept over at the Neverland Ranch and spent nights in the same bed as the much-older Jackson.

But Robson played a pivotal role in defending Jackson in the 2005 trial, when the King of Pop, who passed away in 2009, faced 14 counts relating to child molestation and conspiracy to molest minors.

He adamantly denied that he had ever been molested or inappropriately touched by the singer, even when a former maid at Neverland testified that she had seen Jackson grope the young boy in the shower. In turn Jackson was found not guilty on all of the charges.

This morning, he explained to Matt Lauer that he wasn't lying back then but hadn't yet come to terms with what had happened to him.

'I said what I understood and I said what I was able to say,' he explained. 'From seven years old, from day one of the abuse, Michael told me that we loved each other and this was love, this was an expression of our love. And then he would follow it up with "but if you ever tell anyone what we are doing both of our lives and careers would be over."'

But he said he was never offered money to deny the abuse during the trial.

'There was no money, there was no "you must lie." Michael, when he would talk to me before these things were going on, and he would call me everyday... it was complete manipulation and brainwashing. It wasn't any sense of the truth on the phone, he would role play with me and train me for these scenarios.'

He is now fighting for money from the Jackson's estate and asking a probate court to allow him to file a late creditor's claim against the estate, even though the deadline has passed for creditors to file such claims.

The estate's lawyer, Howard Weitzman, has dismissed Robson's claims.

In a statement to Today, Weitzman said:'This is a young man who has testified at least twice under oath over the past 20 years and said in numerous interviews that Michael Jackson never did anything inappropriate to him or with him.

Seven years of alleged abuse: Robson, pictured right with Jackson as a kid, said from the age of seven to around 14 Jackson 'performed sexual acts on me and forced me to perform sexual acts on him'

'Now, nearly four years after Michael has passed, this sad and less-than-credible claim has been made.'

But Robson told Today that his speaking out about the alleged abuse is not for fame or fortune.

'This is not a case of repressed memory,' Robson told Today. 'I have never forgotten one moment of what Michael did to me, but I was psychologically and emotionally completely unable and unwilling to understand that it was sexual abuse.'

He said having his own child two years ago made him face up to the truth, as he said he couldn't help thinking about how he'd feel if a stranger molested his little boy.

'I'm a father and I became a father two and a half years ago to this beautiful baby boy and during the first 18 months of his life I collapsed into two nervous breakdowns, terrifying nervous breakdowns,' he told Lauer.

'At that point, I had no idea what was going on. And for the first time in my life, I began to realize that my completely numb and unexplored feelings about what Michael did to me might be a problem and maybe I need to speak to somebody about it.'

When Lauer referred to a comment made by Jackson's brother Jermaine Jackson that Robson was 'full of s***,' he replied: 'The idea that I would make all of this up and put myself, my wife, my son, my entire family through this extremely stressful and painful experience all for money is incomprehensible.'

Idol: Robson, pictured as a young boy, first met Jackson when he won a local Michael Jackson competition in 1987

Why now? Robson, pictured left and right, says he is speaking out not for the money but to heal and help others

In the past eight years, Robson has made a name for himself in the entertainment world, becoming one of the most sought-after choreographers.

He has worked with Usher, Britney Spears, and NSYNC. His name hit the gossip columns in 2002 when Britney Spears' relationship with Justin Timberlake ended after she allegedly cheated on the NSYNC star with the choreographer.

Since then, Robson has worked on the show So You Think You Can Dance, and is currently in charge of Demi Lovato's choreography.

But he told Today he simply couldn't live in silence about the alleged sexual abuse anymore.

'I've lived in silence and denial for 22 years and I can't spend another moment in that... I'm never going to go away with this for the sake of money. I'm never going to be silenced for money. That's not going to happen.'

In a later statement to the program, Robson went on to say that he hoped his actions would help other child sexual abuse victims.

'There are millions of survivors of child sexual abuse out there who are suffering in silence and/or denial, as was I,' he said. 'If my coming forward and speaking my truth can help even one victim gain the courage to speak their truth and begin the healing process, that would be more than I could ever ask.'

We said he wanted to assure victims that under no circumstances was the abuse their decision or fault and encouraged them to speak about it so they could begin to heal.

Robson's TV appearance comes as the high profile trial of the Jackson's tour promoter, AEG, continues. The trial is brought by the singer's mother and children who claim AEG shares blame in his death for neglecting to vet and supervise Jackson's doctor, Dr Conrad Murray.

CHANGE OF TUNE: WHAT WADE ROBSON SAID ABOUT ALLEGED MOLESTATION IN MICHAEL JACKSON'S 2005 TRIAL AND NOW

THEN

Wade Robson, who was then 22, testified in the Santa Maria courtroom that he was five when he met Jackson for the first time in his hometown, Brisbane, Australia.

Two years later, he was a guest at Jackson's Neverland ranch for the first of some 20-plus overnight visits. He told jurors he shared a bed with Jackson on numerous occasions from the ages of seven to 14, at Neverland, as well as apartments in Los Angeles and at hotels in Las Vegas and LA.

When asked by Jackson's lead lawyer, Thomas A. Mesereau Jr., whether he'd ever been molested by the singer Robson replied: 'Absolutely not,' before also denying strongly that Jackson had ever touched him in a sexually explicit way.

When senior deputy district attorney, Ronald J. Zonen, questioned Robson's account, he replied: 'I'm telling you, nothing ever happened.'

Zonen then said, according to a New York Times article at the time: 'You're saying nothing ever happened when you were awake,' to which Robson responded: 'I think something like that would wake me up.'

However, a former maid at Neverland who testified at the trial as a witness for the prosecution, said she had seen Jackson groping Robson in the shower at the ranch. But Robson denied ever having a shower with the star.

NOWs

But now Robson is claiming Michael Jackson did in fact molest him, over a period of seven years.

In an interview with Today, Robson, now 30, labelled Jackson 'a pedophile and a child sexual abuser' who from the ages of seven to around 14 'performed sexual acts on me and forced me to perform sexual acts on him.'

He said that Jackson told him the alleged abuse was 'an expression of our love.'

Robson added, explaining why he gave what he claims now was a false testimony: 'This is not a case of repressed memory. I have never forgotten one moment of what Michael did to me, but I was psychologically and emotionally completely unable and unwilling to understand that it was sexual abuse.'

The end is truly near when a group of misfits talk about the impending zombie apocalypse. That's the fear in this new clip from Sony's This is the End, the new apocalypse comedy directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Rogen wrote the script with Goldberg. The project is inspired by a short called 'Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse' that featured Rogen and Jay Baruchel playing themselves, holed up in an apartment as they dealt with the end of the world.

'The comedy This Is The End follows six friends trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. As the world unravels outside, dwindling supplies and cabin fever threaten to tear apart the friendships inside. Eventually, they are forced to leave the house, facing their fate and the true meaning of friendship and redemption.'

Rolando McClain informs Ravens that he will retire - Baltimore Sun (blog)

May 15, 2013|By Jeff Zrebiec, The Baltimore Sun

Troubled inside linebacker Rolando McClain informed Ravens officials Wednesday that he will retire from the NFL, a decision he reached before participating in one practice with his new team.

McClain signed with the Ravens on April 12, was arrested just nine days later and then made the surprising decision Wednesday to call it quits on his playing career at the age of 23. Taken eighth overall by the Oakland Raiders in the 2010 draft, McClain played just three seasons, his career marred by on-field inconsistency and off-the-field legal issues.

'Rolando let me know that he plans to retire from the NFL,' Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said in a written statement. 'We have placed him on the reserved/retired list.'

Newsome had downplayed the McClain signing all along, saying only that the former University of Alabama standout was 'getting an opportunity to come and make our 53-man squad. That's it.'

After McClain was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct on April 21 ' his third arrest in a little more than 16 months ' Newsome was noncommittal about his status with the team. As it was, McClain's legal issues already had his standing under league review with the possibility of potential discipline.

Now, his retirement takes the decision out of the Ravens' hands and doesn't cost them anything. McClain signed a one-year, $700,000 deal that included no guaranteed money.

It does leave the Ravens thin at inside linebacker following the retirement of Ray Lewis, the free agent departure of Dannell Ellerbe and the release of Brendon Ayanbadejo. Jameel McClain, the most experienced holdover at the position, is also still rehabbing a serious spinal cord injury but the team has gotten positive reports about his status.

The Ravens also traded up in the second round of last month's draft to select Kansas State linebacker Arthur Brown, who is expected to get an opportunity to earn the starting job, possibly alongside Jameel McClain if he is healthy. Josh Bynes, Albert McClellan and Bryan Hall will also vie for playing time at inside linebacker.

For Rolando McClain, if this is indeed it, he'll finish his career with 274 career tackles, 6.5 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble in 41 career games with the Raiders. Considered the top linebacker in the 2010 draft, McClain's talent never translated to the NFL. He lost his starting job at one point last season and Raiders coach Dennis Allen even suspended him for conduct detrimental to the team.

However, McClain's biggest problems were always off the field, most occurring in his hometown of Decatur, Ala. His most serious charge came last May when McClain was convicted in municipal court of third-degree assault, menacing, reckless endangerment and illegal discharge of a firearm in the city limits. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail for allegedly threatening to kill a man and discharging a gun next to his head during a fight two years ago. However, charges were dismissed upon appeal after the accuser told prosecutors that he didn't want to go forward with the case.

In January, McClain was arrested following a routine traffic stop and charged with a window tint violation and providing false information to police. The linebacker allegedly refused to sign his real name on the citation, choosing instead to write '[Expletive] y'all.' McClain pleaded guilty last week to the window tint violation and agreed to pay a $186 fine in exchange for the city dismissing the false information charge.

His latest arrest came in April after Decatur police responded to a reported disturbance at a local park. While officers tried to disperse the crowd, McClain allegedly yelled an expletive about the police toward the crowd and then twice pulled his arms away from officers as they tried to arrest him. He was released from jail after posting a $1,000 bond and was due in court on those charges on July 9.

McClain also has two other outstanding charges on reckless driving and failing to provide proof of insurance. The settlement date is set for June 20.

The linebacker made $22.85 million in guaranteed money as per the rookie contract he signed with the Raiders before the 2010 season.

Eminem Stabbed In NYC? Rapper Marshall Mathers Victim Of Stabbing Death ... - International Business Times

By Nadine DeNinno | May 16 2013 8:47 AM

Several rumors are bouncing around Facebook about Eminem, claiming that the rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, was the victim of a stabbing and has died.

Turns out it's just another Internet death hoax. Eminem is actually alive and well, his reps have confirmed.

The message circulating on Facebook isn't an old-school chain email or spammy post but rather a sidebar advertisement on the social networking site claiming the rapper was stabbed in New York City. The fake post shows a picture of a tattooed man's back with slash marks and a message claiming the stabbing was caught on surveillance video.

'Rapper Eminem Left Nearly DEAD After Being Stabbed 4 Times In NYC!!' the headline of the message reads. 'Warning 18+!! It was all caught on surveillance video! Click the pic to play the video!'

Photo: Facebook Several rumors are making their way around Facebook about Eminem, claiming that the rapper whose real name is Marshall Mathers was stabbed and died in New York City.

Eminem is just fine, according to his rep, who told E! News the fake post was "not true. He remains unstabbed." Another publicist told Spin: "These [rumors] happen all the time. He's fine.'

Despite the message's obvious bogus status leading to scams and phishing, Facebook users have been clicking on the gruesome photo anyway, only to find the link doesn't lead to more details about the alleged stabbing but rather to a site called amazingvid.biz, which at first looks like a Facebook comments plug-in page. Many have been even further tricked by the site because it has fake Facebook comments from fake users, making it appear legitimate.

But trust us here, don't click; It's not true anyway. And in order to watch the video of Eminem, the user must reshare the link with their Facebook friends, which is of course how this spam began spreading so quickly. After sharing the post, the link redirects to a survey website promising 'free prizes' along with more Eminem stabbing news, which, of course, never comes.

Worst of all, it's not the first time this exact photo alleging a celebrity was the victim of a stabbing has made its way around Facebook. As Naked Security noted, the same photo was used in December 2011 to falsely report Justin Bieber was 'STABBED by CRAZED Fan Outside N.Y.C Nightclub!' leading to the same sort of spammy rabbit hole.

Photo: Facebook A similar message claimed Justin Bieber was also stabbed.

Meanwhile, Eminem is set to drop his latest ' and highly anticipated -- album sometime after Memorial Day. The rapper's eighth studio album will reportedly feature a track with Chris Rock after the comedian posted a photo in the studio with Eminem.

Kidnap Victim Visits Salon for First Time in a Decade - ABC News

Rescued kidnap victim Gina DeJesus has visited a hair salon for the first time in a decade, one of her first steps to recover physically and emotionally from her decade-long ordeal.

DeJesus, now 23, emerged last week along with Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight from Ariel Castro's Cleveland home where she was kept a captive for a decade, police said. DeJesus looked thin and pale and her hair was cropped closely to her head.

The only public appearance she has made since she was allegedly kidnapped by Castro, a fired school bus driver, was a brief appearance last week as she ran into her family's home after being discharged from the hospital. She kept her face and head covered by a yellow hooded sweatshirt, but gave a jaunty thumbs up to the cheering throng outside her family's house.

DeJesus has ventured out, however, to a hair salon, sources told ABC News.

She also celebrated Mothers Day with her family, with her mom cooking corn beef empanadas and "potato balls," which are ground beef and potato rolled into balls and fried. It's the first holiday DeJesus has seen outside of captivity since she was a teenager.

Since her abduction in 2004 when she was 14, her neighbors have seen her girlish face on an almost daily basis staring at them from missing person posters. But that photo does not reflect the ravages of her imprisonment.

None of the three kidnapped women have been seen in public since their release from a hospital last week. Also in seclusion is Berry's 6-year-old daughter she had with Castro and delivered while in captivity. Berry and her daughter were photographed just once in the hospital, but have since slipped away.

Knight, abducted in 2002 and the first woman to allegedly be kidnapped by Castro, was kept in the hospital for several days after Berry and DeJesus went home to warm welcomes from their families and neighbors. Knight later was quietly discharged without even seeing or notifying her family.

Her captor appears to have singled Knight out for particular abuse, according to a police report obtained by ABC News.

When Berry became pregnant, Castro allegedly told Knight to help Berry during labor, and was provided with a kiddie swimming pool to keep the mess to a minimum.

"Michelle delivered the baby and Michelle stated that Ariel told her that if the baby died, he'd kill her," the police report states.

Castro, 52, has been charged with kidnapping and rape. He has yet to enter a plea. Calls to his attorneys were not returned.

Kentucky coach John Calipari rants about UK academics; losing Andrew Wiggins - FanSided

Home NCAA Basketball Kentucky coach John Calipari rants about UK academics; losing Andrew Wiggins

Mar 11, 2012; New Orleans, LA, USA; Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari yells to one of his players during the first half of the finals of the 2012 SEC Tournament against the Vanderbilt Commodores at the New Orleans Arena. Mandatory Credit: Crystal LoGiudice-USA TODAY Sports

In the hours leading up to Andrew Wiggins' college decision, Kentucky head coach, John Calipari, most likely knew Wiggins wouldn't choose Kentucky (Wiggins ultimately choose Kansas). Obviously aggravated, Calipari took to twitter to express his frustration.

We're not done yet'.

That's right. Calipari tweeted four times. I think it's fair to say he had a mini meltdown. Calipari went on to tweet about Kentucky's success. While the tweets were mostly about academics rather than basketball, it's safe to assume that it was a last second attempt to persuade Wiggins and his parents to change his mind and choose UK for not just their basketball program, but for their academic.

Another assumption could be that Calipari knew the outcome before hand, the reason why Wiggins didn't choose UK and perhaps wanted to defend his program.

This is all assumptions and speculation so remember to take it with a grain of salt.

What OJ Simpson Wants You to Know About His Robbery Case - TIME

Julie Jacobson / Pool / REUTERS

O.J. Simpson removes his glasses as he testifies during an evidentiary hearing in Clark County District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 15, 2013

Determined to convince a Las Vegas court that he deserves a new trial, O.J. Simpson took the stand Wednesday to describe for the first time in his own words exactly what happened in the 2007 confrontation with two memorabilia dealers that resulted in his incarceration for armed robbery and kidnapping. While he was famously acquitted in his 1995 murder case, Simpson is now throwing a legal 'Hail Mary' pass in an attempt to gain his freedom.

(MORE: O.J.'s Excuses: 5 Claims in The Juice's New Defense)

Coming on the third day of his evidentiary hearing, Simpson, now 65, appeared in court with grayed hair and a receding hairline. Wearing a navy-blue prison jumpsuit and shuffling to the witness stand through the clanking of his shackles, he responded matter-of-factly to questions from his lawyers on what happened. In an assured though fatigued voice, the Juice broke down his version of the events of Sept. 13, 2007 for the first time ever, since he did not testify in his 2008 felony trial.

Simpson made several key points to persuadeJudge Linda Marie Bell that his original attorney, Yale Galanter, was incompetent, and that he should get a shot at a new day in court. Those include:

He was trying to get back what already belonged to him. Simpson testified that at first he had been told by then-friend Tom Riccio that memorabilia dealers Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley (whose identities Simpson was not completely sure of at the time) were in possession of several items that belonged to him.Initially, he said, he didn't intend to pursue them, but when he learned that several heirlooms including rare family photos and game footballs commemorating NFL rushing records were among the collection, he felt he needed to act. 'They belong to my family. They belong to my kids. They belong to us,' Simpson said. 'These were all things that they should have, not some guy in a hotel in Vegas.'

He had no idea that any of the men who went with him to retrieve the items had firearms. Simpson took four men with him, including friend C.J. Smith, who was convicted with him, to get his belongings. He just 'needed a couple of big guys' to help him get the several boxes in the room at the Palm Station Hotel. He said guns were never discussed. 'For what? There was no need for that.' He insisted that he never audibly heard the word 'gun' and in his discussions with the men who accompanied him in the SUV containing the items, no talk of a gun ever came up.

He did demand that nobody leave the room, but did not threaten anyone. Simpson claims that he did not realize everything that had gone missing until he entered the room. 'Some of the stuff, I didn't know what was gone, I didn't know was missing.' Many of the items were valuables that he took for granted until they were gone. 'These were things that you live with in your house for years and you forget about it. These were things I hadn't seen in 10 years, so I was a little emotional about it.' So he turned to Charles Cashmore and Charles Ehrlich (who were later sentenced to probation after taking plea deals) and said, 'don't let anybody out of here. Because these guys are here with my stuff and if they don't volunteer it to me, I want them arrested.'

(MORE: The Rise and Fall ' and Fall Again ' of OJ Simpson)

Yale Galanter flip-flopped on what Simpson could legally do to get his belongings back. At first, Simpson's attorney told him that he was within his rights to get the memorabilia back. He said that he had the right to confront Fromong and Beardsley as long as he did not trespass on their property and did not forcefully take the things. 'I followed what I thought was the law,' Simpson told the court. 'I didn't beat up anybody, I didn't try to muscle the guy. They guys acknowledged that it was my stuff.' But later, after he was arrested and awaiting trial, Simpson says that Galanter's tune changed. Now he was telling Simpson that the particular state where the incident took place was one where he should have tried to avoid the confrontation. 'He said you could do this in 48, 49 states, but Nevada has some quirky kind of laws'because I never thought I could go get my own stuff and be looking at jail time.'

Simpson's hearing is expected to last through the week. Judge Bell will then rule on whether she will throw out the old conviction and order a new trial or let Simpson continue the nine-to-33-year sentence he is currently serving.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell Sentenced -- Abortion Doctor Gets Life In Prison - Hollywood Life

Courtesy of ABC

The nightmare abortion doctor, who was found guilty of snipping the necks of babies born alive at his run-down Philadelphia clinic, was sentenced to life in prison on May 14. Do YOU think that's an appropriate sentence?

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 72, was sentenced to life in prison on May 14, a day after he was found guilty on three first-degree murder charges in the deaths of babies who were born alive at his clinic, and then killed after he snipped their necks with scissors.

Dr Kermit Gosnell's Prison Sentence

On May 14, Dr. Kermit 'agreed to waive all of his appellate rights in exchange for life in prison without the possibility of parole instead of the death penalty,' according to a statementfrom the office of Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams.

After that, he was'immediately sentenced,' according to CNN.

Dr. Kermit Found Guilty Of Three First-Degree Murder Charges

Dr. Kermit was convicted of killing three babies at his clinic who were born alive,, but later killed after he snipped their necks with a pair of scissors. He was found guilty on three counts of first-degree murder in the infants' deaths.

In addition to the post-birth killings, Dr. Gosnell was also found guilty of 21 counts of late-term abortions. InPennsylvania, it is against the law to perform an abortion after 24 weeks of pregnancy.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell Found Guilty Of Involuntary Manslaughter

Dr. Kermit was also found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of one of his patients, Karnamaya Mongar, 41. She died after receiving an overdose of anesthesia while undergoing a second-trimester abortion.

Baba Is 35-Year-Old Billionaire With Zombie and Bear Apps - Bloomberg

Naruatsu Baba, the 35-year-old founder of Japanese smartphone game maker Colopl Inc. (3668), has become one of the youngest billionaires in the world as Colopl stock leaped sevenfold since its December initial share sale.

The Tokyo-based app maker produces games such as 'Catastrophic Zombies' and 'Kuma's Digging Adventure.' Baba holds a 69 percent stake in the company valued at $2.2 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. He has never appeared on an international wealth ranking.

Game app makers with hits in Japan have soared, contributing to an 86 percent advance in the JASDAQ Stock Index (JSDA) this year and minting billionaires in the world's third-largest economy. Baba joins the ranks of GungHo Online Entertainment Inc. (3765) Chairman Taizo Son, whose bestseller 'Puzzle & Dragons' generated first-quarter sales of $3.4 million a day. Son, the youngest brother of SoftBank Corp. (9984) President Masayoshi Son, is now worth $5.1 billion, up from $3.3 billion last week, according to the daily billionaires index.

'It's a bubble market for mobile-game makers,' said Takashi Oka, an analyst at TIW Inc. in Tokyo, who rates Colopl stock 'neutral plus.' 'As a developer, president (Baba) probably developed games in the beginning, so with more developers it's possible for the company to grow exponentially.'

Baba wants Colopl to produce 30 new games a year, according to an interview with Social Game Report in November. Time travel: Can it really be done? - CNN International

The Sombrero Galaxy is thought to house a black hole, a gravitational field Davies says could lead to the future, but not the past.
    • Nearly 100 years ago, Albert Einstein showed that motion could stretch or shrink time
    • Fly from London to NYC and back and you leap forward a split second, Paul Davies says
    • He says a big time warp requires an intense gravitational field, such as a black hole
    • Going back in time would require a "wormhole," which he says is possible in principle

Editor's note: Paul Davies is author of "How to Build a Time Machine." He works at Arizona State University.

(CNN) -- Ever since H. G. Wells' trailblazing novel "The Time Machine," time travel has been a staple of science fiction. The idea of traveling through time is deeply fascinating: you get into a machine, press a few buttons, and step out not just somewhere else, but "somewhen" else. It's easy to imagine, but can it really be done?

Yes it can, at least in a limited sense. Over a century ago, Albert Einstein showed that time is intrinsically elastic, capable of being stretched or shrunk by motion. Fly from London to New York and back, and you will leap a split second into the future of stay-at-home Londoners. The effect can easily be measured using atomic clocks and involves only billionths of a second -- too brief for a person to notice, and hardly the stuff of "Doctor Who" television series-style adventures.

Read more: Scientists -- particles appear to travel faster than light

But time stretching can be magnified by increasing the speed. Close to the speed of light (about 300,000 kilometers per second), time warps become startling. Fly to the star Vega, 25 light years away, and back again at 99% of the speed of light, and when you return to Earth in 2062, you will have experienced only seven years travel time in the spacecraft. In effect, you will have leaped 42 years into Earth's future.

So travel into the future is not only possible, we have done it, although so far in only paltry amounts. How about going back in time? That is far more problematic and remains an active area of research. Einstein found that not only speed affects time, gravity does too. Time runs a little bit faster on the roof, where gravity is imperceptibly weaker, than in the basement, for example.

A really big time warp requires an intense gravitational field. Black holes are the best; near their surfaces time is slowed almost to a standstill relative to us. Indeed, black holes are black because outgoing light is trapped in slow motion. However, hanging out near a black hole is not only dangerous, it still only represents travel into the future; it gets you to the future quicker. Getting to the past requires something even weirder than a black hole -- a wormhole.

The mystery of black holes Faster than the speed of light?Black hole hunting satellite launched

Read more: The great time travel debate

Wormholes in space are shortcuts linking distant points -- a bit like that other sci-fi favorite, the star gate. Leap through one and you might come out on the other side of the galaxy a few minutes later. If wormholes exist, they could be adapted to make time machines that send you into the future if you traverse them in one direction, but into the past if you go in the other direction. Like a black hole, a wormhole would be a massive gravitational space and time warping object. But whereas a black hole represents a one-way journey to nowhere -- jump in and you can never get out -- a wormhole has an exit as well as an entrance.

Do wormholes exist? Black holes certainly do, but nobody has yet glimpsed any sign of its cousin, the wormhole. Furthermore, some physicists are so uneasy about their potential for being portals to the past that they flat-out reject the very idea. The problem concerns those familiar time travel paradoxes, like going back in time and murdering your mother before you were born. Physicists call these causal loop paradoxes, and they affront our desire for the universe to be a rational and ordered system. If cause and effect get muddled up in time, what does that do for our notions of reality?

Read more: 'Looper's' potential for real world time travel

In spite of these misgivings, there is nothing in Einstein's theory of space, time and gravitation to forbid journeying into the past, a possibility that Einstein himself hated. Not only wormholes, but several other mechanisms have been found that, according to Einstein's theory, can be used to travel back in time. All these proposals suffer from the problem of extreme impracticality, though. Building a human-sized wormhole, for example, would require harnessing vast amounts of peculiar quantum field energy and deploying gravitational stabilizing technology that would need the resources of a cosmic super-civilization.

For many scientists, however, it is the principle that counts, not the practical engineering. And here there is an intriguing possibility. Few physicists think Einstein had the last word on gravitation, and some modern extensions of his work make an extraordinary prediction. The Large Hadron Collider -- the giant accelerating machine that created the Higgs boson -- might just make a tiny wormhole for long enough that its time-bending effects could be glimpsed.

The opinions expressed in this commentary are soley those of Paul Davies.
